Rosemary Dredge

60, of Galesburg died at 8:23 am Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital. She was born on October 19, 1947 in Miller County, Missouri to James A. and Ida K. Hoffman Henson. She married John Dredge in April of 1988 in Galesburg. He survives. Rosemary is also survived by her daughters, Leona (and Ed) Meinders of Peoria, IL and Kelly (and Chuck) Arbuckle of Chaska, MN; three grandchildren, Ashley, Andrew and Daniel Arbuckle;a step-daughter, Angela (and Robbie) Selkirk of Galesburg; two sisters-in-law, Marge Henson of Lake Bracken and Mary Sue Austin of Abingdon; several nieces and nephews, including a very special niece, Macy Main. She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant sons and six brothers, James, Jessie, Paul, Luther and Leslie Henson, including an infant brother. She had lived in Knox County and Galesburg most of her life. She worked at Maytag in Galesburg for 30 years before retiring. She participated in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. She enjoyed Quilting and Embroidery and was a member of the Glass Favorites Corvette Club. Graveside service will be at 2:30 pm Sunday, September 21, 2008 at the Abingdon Cemetery. Mrs. Eleanor Landon will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Sunday at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel. Memorials may be made to Relay for Life NAEIR Team.
