Roy Victor Berg

86 of Abingdon, died at 9:55 am Friday, April 6, 2007 at the Care Center of Abingdon. He was born on April 1, 1921 in Chicago, a son of John Joe and Ethel Nyman Berg. He married Margaret Jane Waterman. She preceded him in death. He later married Mary White Anderson on February 27, 1977 at Downers Grove, IL. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Alex and Mike; four daughters, April, Renee', Lynette and Nereida; one sister, Evelyn Mae Morrissey; 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Edward and Alvin Berg. He had lived in Hinsdale and Naperville, IL prior to moving to Abingdon. He was a representative for Christian Record Services for 26 years. He was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church in Galesburg. He served in the Army during WW II. His body was donated to science.
