34 of 1560 Clay St. Galesburg and formerly of Abingdon died at 7:55 am Sunday, November 21, 2004 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital. He was born on August 13, 1970 in Carthage, IL to Richard and Mary Fleming Glisan. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Mary and Danny Batson of Abingdon; his father and stepmother, Richard and Vicki Glisan of RR Galesburg; two sons, Jordan Glisan and Tyres Glisan both of Galesburg; two brothers, Bradley Glisan and Brian (and Linda) Glisan both of Abingdon; two sisters, Kena (and Larry) Erwin of Galesburg and Danielle (and Mike) Hall of Abingdon; step grandparents, Art and Dutch Batson of Abingdon and three nieces and two nephews. He grew up in Abingdon and graduated from Abingdon High School in 1988, where he was a member of the baseball team. He joined the US Army and served from July of 1988 until November of 1991. He was a member of Harry E. Wiles American Legion Post #381 in Abingdon. He was a track inspector for BNSF Railroad in Galesburg. Graveside service will be at 11:00 am Wednesday at the Abingdon Cemetery. Eleanor Landon will officiate. Military rites will be conducted by Post #381. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel in Abingdon. Memorials may be made to an education fund for his sons in care of Tompkins State Bank in Abingdon.
