Shirley Ann Kilpatrick

78, died at 8:13 am on Sunday, February 25, 2007 at Cottage Hospital, Galesburg. She was born on December 23, 1928 in Abingdon, Illinois, the daughter of Cecil and Hazel (Lane) Kilpatrick She married Robert H. Batson on October 7, 1946 in Peoria, Illinois. She is survived by one daughter, Susan (Junior) Wilson, Knoxville, IL and one son, Mike (Dale Lynn) Batson, Knoxville, IL, six grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, three sisters, Alberta (Joseph) Vallero, Sun City, AZ, Lois (Bob) West, Galesburg, IL and Ida (Nathan) Johnson, Dixon, IL. She was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Admire and two brothers John and Kenneth Kilpatrick. She retired from Maytag Refrigeration in 1992 and was a member of IAM & AW Local Lodge 2063. She was a homemaker after retirement. Graveside service will be at 11:00 am Thursday, March 1, 2007 at the Abingdon Cemetery. Eleanor Landon will officiate. There will be no visitation. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
