Shirley Woodside

78 of 590 Knox Highway 8, Maquon died at 8:13 am Sunday, February 25, 2007 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital. She was born on December 23, 1928 in Abingdon to Cecil and Hazel Lane Kilpatrick. She married Robert Batson on October 7, 1946 in Peoria. She later married Norman Woodside on June 26, 1987 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on February 11, 2006. She was also preceded in death by a stepson, Richard Woodside and a step grandson. Survivors include stepchildren, Kathryn (Kate) McDermott of Maquon, Jean Riley of Galesburg, Ross (and Loretta) Woodside of Oneida, Robert (and Joan) Woodside of Galesburg, Larry (and Connie) Woodside of Nashville, IL and Dale Woodside of Galesburg; 29 step grandchildren and 51 step great grandchildren, 2 step great-great-grandchildren. She lived in the Abingdon area all her life. She worked at Admiral Corp. for 17 ½ years. She attended the Abingdon Christian Church. Graveside service will be 11:00 am Thursday, March 1, 2007 at the Abingdon Cemetery. Eleanor Landon will officiate. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
