96 of 301 N. Washington St. Abingdon, IL died at 5:50 pm Saturday, December 30, 2006 in Abingdon. She was born on June 21, 1910 in Hancock, Arkansas to J.P. and Myrtle McKinley Colbert. She married James Everett Wilson on February 22, 1930 in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death in July of 1990. She is survived by one son, John Bob (and Alma) Wilson of Abingdon, IL with whom she resided with the past 12 years; two grandchildren, Dr. John E. (and Amy) Wilson of Paragould, AR and Daphene (and Roger) Gibson of Fort Worth, TX ; 7 great grandchildren; one sister Clara "Jack" Hearron in the state of Texas. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Clyde Colbert and Charles "Buster" Colbert and two sisters, Lou Ada Kendricks and Hazel Karnes. . She was a homemaker and had helped her husband farm in Hancock. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Abingdon Garden Club. Funeral service 10:00 am Saturday, January 6, 2007 at the Church of Christ in Caraway, Arkansas. Entombment will be in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery, Jonesboro, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday at the Gregg Funeral Home in Monette, Arkansas. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.
