Teresa J. (Ridgeway) Carlson

Teresa J. Carlson, 59, of Galesburg, died at 11:20 a.m. Sunday, December 29, 2024, in OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born September 19, 1965, in Richmond, Virginia, the daughter of Joel and Brenda (Wilburn) Ridgeway. She married Scott D. Carlson on November 5, 1987, in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on January 28, 2024.

She is survived by her parents, Joel and Brenda Ridgeway of Moseley, Virginia; three children, Scott-Allen R. Carlson of Galesburg, Amanda L. (Justin) Linnabery of Moline, and Benjamin R. Carlson of Galesburg; two grandchildren, Elena Rose Linnabery and Jason Howard Linnabery; two sisters, Tammy Jo Miller and Kim Reamey; and her good friend, Peg Hunt of Galesburg.

Teresa was raised and educated in Virginia, where she graduated from Meadowbrook High School. Teresa was a waitress at Applebee’s for many years. She enjoyed karaoke and playing darts. She was a veteran of the United States Navy.

As Teresa requested, cremation will be accorded with no public service. A private family burial will be held at a later date in East Linwood Cemetery.
