Thomas H. Bramlett

Mr. Thomas Harding Bramlett, 75, of Galesburg, Illinois, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at Heartland Health Care Center, in Galesburg.

Thomas was born on April 21, 1946, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital, as the son of Clyde and Betty (Hillyer) Bramlett. At the age of thirteen while sitting in church on Easter Sunday, he spotted the love of his life.  He married Judy K. Hagerty on June 26, 1965, in Galesburg and spent 56 wonderful years together.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; two sons, Troy (Kerry) Bramlett and Trent Bramlett, both of Galesburg, his daughter, Brandi (Sam) Lambasio, of Knoxville, his two siblings, Richard (Debbie) Bramlett, of Missouri, and Frances Bramlett, of Galesburg; six grandchildren, Brittany (Devon) Gentry, Telli Lambasio, Ghage Lambasio, Brodie Bramlett, Baylee Bramlett, Calley Miller, and two great grandchildren, Corbin Gentry and Rylynn Gentry and his brother-in-law, Curt Miller of Wataga. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Brian and his sister, Joyce Miller.

Thomas received his education at Galesburg High School and graduated in 1965. He began working for the former CB & Q Railroad, now BNSF Railroad as a trainman for 40 years, retiring in 2001. Thomas loved spending his down time fishing.

Tom’s wishes were to be cremated with a private family service in East Linwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Thomas’s memory may be made to Knox County Humane Society or Guardian Angel Humane Society.
