Thomas "Tom" D. Ring

96 of RR Abingdon died at 9:25 pm Monday, Feb. 28, 2005 at the Care Center of Abingdon. He was born on September 15, 1908 in Fulton County near Vermont, IL to James Elsworth and Sarah Harriet Hickle Ring. He married Minnie Roberts on Nov. 25, 1932 in Lewistown . She survives. Also surviving are nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces and great-great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and three sisters. He was a farmer and farmed in the Abingdon area most all of his life. He was a member o the Knox County Farm Bureau. Graveside service will be at 1:00 pm Friday at the Abingdon Cemetery. Rev. Raymond McLaren will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Thursday at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel. Memorials may be made to Abingdon FFA or the Care Center of Abingdon.
