91 died at 12:45 pm Friday, March 16, 2007 at 612 W. Jackson St., the home of her daughter, whom she resided with the past year. She was born on October 21, 1915 in Greenfield, IN to George and Cora A. Strahl Rigdon. After the death of her parents, she moved to Abingdon at the age of nine and was raised by her uncle and aunt, J.E. and Mary Jane Hamilton. She married Karl E. Muenzenmeyer on October 4, 1946 in Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1988. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Karlene Way, three brothers, Gerald Rigdon, Kenny Rigdon and Donald Rigdon, and one sister, Lucille Wall. Surviving is one daughter, Mary Jane (Howard) Pigg of Abingdon; three grandchildren, Gene Pigg, Nick Way and Tonya Johnson; 5 great grandchildren. She graduated from Abingdon High School in 1933 and from Brown's Business College in Galesburg in 1934. She worked as a pharmacist assistant for 34 years at the former Gustus Drug Store in Abingdon, retiring in 1994. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Abingdon, where she played the piano. She was a member of the Grandmothers Club, Business & Professional Women and also volunteered for 30 years at the Care Center of Abingdon. Graveside service will be at 1:00 pm Monday, March 19, 2007 at the Abingdon Cemetery. Rev. Todd Henderson will officiate. There will be no visitation. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to First Assembly of God, 835 W.
