79, 406 W. South St. Abingdon, died at 4:16 pm Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg. She was born April 1, 1923 in Downing, Missouri to Frank and Opal Phelps Rood. She married James R. Trulock in 1943 in Missouri. Surviving are one son, Edward (and Maggie) Trulock of Loganville, Georigia; a daughter-in-law, Susan Trulock of Abingdon; five sisters, Corene (and Leo) Koller of Avon, Il., Melba (and George) Onion of Abingdon, Elaine (and Glen) Johnson of Altona, Il., Willadean Hughey of Jacksonville, Florida and Barbara (and John) Myers of Orange City, Florida; 4 grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Richard Trulock, one sister, Madeline Waugh. She graduated from Avon High School in 1942. She had lived in the Abingdon area most of her life and had also lived in Royal Center, Indiana for 12 years. She was a homemaker and had also worked at the former Outboard Marine Corp. in Galesburg. She was a member of Abingdon Christian Church. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Saturday at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel in Abingdon with Rev. Raymond McLaren officiating. Burial will be in the Abingdon Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 é
