Wilda L. Traversino

89 of 209 E. Pearl St., Abingdon died at 8:03 pm Sunday, November 20, 2005 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital. She was born August 2, 1916 in Pinckneyville, IL to Robert Lee and Viola May Stricker Moak. She married Albert "Midge" Traversino on July 31, 1937 in Crown Point, IN. He survives. Also surviving are a daughter-in-law, Barbara Traversino of Sanford, NC and a granddaughter, Jessica Traversino also of Sanford, NC; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Robert Traversino, two sisters and five brothers. She graduated from West Aurora High School in Aurora, IL. She had lived in Abingdon since 1954 and prior to that she had live in St. Augustine, IL. She was a waitress for several years at the former Junction Restaurant near St. Augustine. Services will be at 10:00 am Friday at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel. Eleanor Landon will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Galesburg. Visitation will one hour before the service on Friday at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Care Center of Abingdon Resident Activity Fund. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
