85, of 203 W. North St. Apt. 1, died at 1:15 am Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at the Care Center of Abingdon. She was born January 9, 1920 in Abingdon, the daughter of James and Easter Taylor Courson. She married Ray Trachsel on July 9, 1945 in Macomb. He preceded her in death on August 8, 1979. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Victor Courson and Paul "Buss" Courson, three sisters, Edith Roberts Dehm, Velma McGill and Ruby Jones. Surviving are nephews and nieces including Lyle (and wife Karen) Roberts of Abingdon who were her caregivers. She had lived in the Abingdon area most of her life. She and her husband owned and operated the former Ray's Lunch and Wagon Wheel Restaurant on Monmouth Boulevard in Galesburg for 23 years. She was a member of the Abingdon Christian Church and attended the First Assembly of God in Abingdon. Graveside service will be at 10:00 am Saturday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Galesburg. Rev. Allan Springer will officiate. There will be no visitation. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Care Center of Abingdon.
