Mr. Charles Edward Munson

Mr. Charles E. Munson, 78, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 2:59 pm Saturday, November 4, 2017 at his home.

He was born March 24, 1939 in London Mills, Illinois the son of Edward and Nanny Theresa Christianson Munson.

He is survived by his two daughters, Kathy Munson and Sherry Cannon both of Galesburg; his son, Rick (Joan) Munson of Galesburg and five grandchildren, Ryan Munson, Scott, Nate, Nolan and Kyler. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his two sisters, Rosemarie and Lois Munson.

Charles served in the Army National Guards from 1956-1968.

Charles owned and operated Tri-States Water for over 38 years. He also had worked for Dr. Trimble as a veterinary assistant for 25 years. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1957. Charles was a lifetime member of the Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post 285. He enjoyed traveling and snowmobiling.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Robert Clark will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 am Thursday at the chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors by VFW 2257/Legion 285 Veterans Honor Guard.
