Mr. Kenneth G. “Jerry” Cook, Galesburg Chapel

58, 1384 N. Henderson St., Galesburg died at 9:45 AM Monday, December 19, 2005 at home.
He was born October 6, 1947 in Hillsdale, Michigan, the son of Kenneth Wier and Dorothy Bridges Cook. He married Mary K. Millen in Oklahoma in 1981. He later married Marilyn J. Green on January 2, 2001 in Galesburg. She survives.
Also surviving is his mother-in-law, Eva Ernestine Drain, Galesburg, 2 step daughters, Michele Nelson, Galesburg and Emily Lovell, Navarre, Florida, 6 step grandchildren, 2 brothers, Ronald Cook, Las Vegas, Nev. and Michael Cook, Lacy, Washington, 4 sisters, Kathryn (and Steve) Venescio and Beverly Potter, both of Snow Flake, Arizona, Jane Anne Gonzales, Lacy, Washington, and Lori Cook, Drumwood, Oklahoma, and a special cousin, David Coates, Lacy, Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a truck driver since 1981, last working for Arnold Transportation out of Jacksonville, Florida for 5 years. He stopped working in August of 2004 due to health problems. He had lived in Clovis and Fresno, California, Little Rock, Arkansas for 11 years, and in Galesburg since 1992. He graduated from Clovis High School and Little Rock Vocational School. He was a member of the Alma Christian Church in Alma, Arkansas and its church foundation.
He served in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Cremation will be accorded. Memorial services and burial of cremated remains with military rites will be announced in the spring of 2006. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
